Who We Are

The story of Medusa is that of a woman coveted and cursed by the vengeful gods of ancient Greece. Her locks transformed into serpents, and her stare, petrifying (literally).

But her story, like many of ours, does not have to be a tragedy. Her story can be a symbol of strength. We are what the world made us - so we will become the monsters we need to survive. Our serpents will empower us. Our stare will be all-seeing. The Medusa Project is a vision that women can lift each other through education and community.

Our community is a network of women and professionals specializing in the unique needs of women worldwide.

Our contributors are called Gorgons.

Gorgons: Sisters of Medusa, described as having the hair of living serpents and a stare reducing living beings to stone.
